Mystic Riverfront Captain's Home

Overall, the property was extremely clean and well stocked with a beautiful view and very good location to downtown shops and restaurants. Even though close to downtown, the area was very quiet. One should note that the stairs to second floor are quite steep and narrow. Would highly recommend and would book for a return trip.

Beautiful house right in the center of town. Really cannot ask for anything better than this. Everything was clean, well-organized, and the hosts are very dedicated to taking care of the property and their guests. Communication was near-instantanious when any questions or concerns came up. Probably the best experience I have ever had with a vacation rental. Thank you!

This is the 5th year we have stayed at The Captain's House. The accomodations are wonderful and the location couldn't be better. The house was built in 1818 and is a fine mixture of the original character and modern amenities. Dealing with Gerard has always been a pleasure...he is very responsive to any questions we have and does his best to make sure our stay is most enjoyable. We have already made plans to return in 2027 for our 6th visit and have no desire to stay anywhere but 9 Gravel St in Mystic. Trust me .....you will be very satisfied vacationing at this splendid home.

We love the Captain’s House! It is a comfortable, roomy colonial home with modern amenities! But the best part is location … minutes from the bridge and a cluster of restaurants and shops. The pecan sticky buns from Sift Bakery can easily be split. The biscuits at the Shipwrights Daughter are great at breakfast. If you like fresh pasta and great wine, head to Via Emilia. We will be back next year!
